    Default fuge design questions

ok so im gonna get rid of my wet dry and build a fuge to feed my goby and blenny etc. so one big question im haveing problems with is does the tank need any other type of filtration ie bioballs or can the tank load just go straight thru the fuge its a 72 gal tank turning at ~700gph can i direct all overflow to the fuge or do i need to divert to a sump? the reason i ask about the bioballs is that Austin Aquariums (not sure i trust them since they are salesmen) said that a fuge should/could be used in addition to a wet dry but shouldnt be used on its own...

If you have some type of mechanical filtration before the fuge I don't think it would be a problem. I used a filter sock on the drain from the tank into my fuge. That way you don't get food and waste sitting in the fuge and rotting away. Also, are you using LR for bio filtration?

Not sure if you remember my sump but it has 3 chambers the water flows into on chamber, through a filter sock, where the skimmer is then goes into the middle chamber where my chaeto and live rock is then into the 3rd chamber where the return pump is. I have no other filtration than that in my sump. BTW still have your chaeto if you want to pick it up.
