    Default New Nano tank cycling?

I got my new NanoCube 6 fired up last night..transferred live sand from my 125g and added some water from the tank as well. How long should i let the system cycle before introduction of live stock, what should i do to accelerate the cycling process, Fish?, dead shrimp?, chemicals? And advice will be appreciated.

    thanks

You shouldnt have much of a cycle with your live sand from the big tank. Adding some live rock will definetly help. If you can add any filter pads to the little tank they will help out a ton as well.

you will probably only notice a small spike in nitrates, but it shouldnt last long.

I did the same thing from a 125 tank into a nano live rock, sand, and water from the large tank I had fish in it the next day and no problems....

Awesome guys, yeah i forgot that live rock was one of the essentials, didn't want to part with any from my tanks so I went and found a sweet piece, looks a bit big in the tank but once i get it all cycled I'm gonna start gluing shrooms and zoas and other stuff...Ill post pics tomorrow.
