    Default Cyano Bacteria

Sure everyone knows but just incase if you have any Cyano there is a product called red slime control by blue vet that kills it all in 24 hours. Ian(dominican) turned me onto it and even though it is $20 it is well worth it.

Thanks Ian and go get it if you don't know about it! Aquadome is where I got mine.

Theres also a product called Chemi-clean that does the same thing. Its only temporary though, you will need to eliminate the source of the cyano to permanently get rid of it.

I agree with Ross, there is a reason why Cyano grows, by adding a chemical to eliminate the problem, you are just masking a symtom of something that has gone wrong. I would first try to solve the cause of the problem then treat the symtoms.

Yeah I got a small patch behind the SIO's that gets no flow so this was the best solution.

I'm having a cyano outbreak right now. I think its because I had to setup my 180 with tap water. I also had about 5 chromis disappear and I think that may have helped the nutrient problem. How do you know that the cyano is dying out? It was a thick red mat a few days ago and now it is more brown than red and its getting thinner.
