    Default Identification...

I have one of these in my tank. I did not put it in there intentionally. It is growing under my umbrella leather.

Calvin on nano-reef.com calls it a GPL. What is the full name of this coral?

    EDIT: Removed picture.

Not my picture, it is Calvin's @ http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/inde...658&st=200

looks like a baby leather coral to me, maybe it stands for "green polyped leather". it is a pretty one if it keeps that color.

It's a Sarcophyton sp. Green ones usually seem to be pretty expensive since there is a Tyree LE one.

Yeah if you need me to hol dit for you while your tank clears, LMK. Is it a clone of the mother, or just random? If the mother looks like that I'd bet you'd have no problems with adoptions if you fragged it. I've one very similar and I hear all the time it is an ORA leather. It just looks nice to me.

It seems this is such a popular coral :roll I'll just have to hold onto myself to make sure that it grows nice and big!

Actually, mine is a cream color like this one from www.DrFosterSmith.com .
