Default My new Cadlights 22G Nano with Pic

Here is my new Nano. It is a 22g all Glass tank by Cadlights. The lighting consists of 6 24" 24 watt T5HO's. From what I understand, it should be enought to keep most anything in. I can't wait until it is done cycling so I can start putting stuff in.

I put in about 16 pounds of Carib-Sea ARAG-ALIVE BAHAMAS OOLITE sand, enough for a 1" bed. I had 12-15 pounds of Live Rock from my daughters tank that boiled 2 weeks ago (heater gone bad). I think I saved the rock before it got ruined. I have had it in a bucket of water with a powerhead for the last 2 weeks. I did water changes daily for the first 4 days. I then added about 10 pounds of base rock to the tank.

When I filled it with water, I took 5 gallons from my 90g tank and the rest was freshly made IO.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Yeah, it was between this and the Finnex 22 gallon, this one just seemed like it would look better in our bedroom. Plus the glass finnex was discontinued from what I heard. The one advantage the finnex had was that it came with a skimmer. I can always get a nano tunze down the road if I think I need it.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Yeah, I have the 22g Finnex right now. I like it, I did however replace the skimmer with a Remora Nano. Oh and I have a Nano Tunze

    2Week Update:

Tank is coming along great. I added a Tunze 6025 Nanostream a few days after setup. Still playing with it to keep the sand from blowing around to much. I tested the water last week and it came out almost perfect. I was skeptical about my test kits, but they must have been atleast close. I threw in a piece of xenia and it has done fine. I put in a part of the cleanup crew last Saturday, 15 hermits and 5 Astrea snails. They have been doing well all week. They made short work of the algee that had started to grow. I ordered new testing kits, all Salifert. My water tested perfect. Finding this hard to believe, I took a sample to the LFS and they tested it for me also. Perfect, Amonia, Nitrite, and Nitrates all 0. PH 8.4. So I made my first fish addition. They had recently gotten some False Perc clowns from ORA and I bought 2.
