    Probably not. I believe that the PS3 Operating System resides on the drive. That being said, I've heard you can take a virgin Tivo box, take the drive out, use a computer to copy the contents to a new larger drive, and reinstall it. So, you MIGHT be able to pull the 20g drive and copy the contents to a new, bigger one.

    yes you can. there was a thread on playstation.com under the PS3 forum. A guy slapped on a 750GB HD, he had already started ripping blu-ray movies too.

    I responded to the "slap it in", which I don't believe you can do... I'm positive that technologically, it can be done.

    Nope you can just slap it in... but the 60gb model has wifi and some other options the 20gb doesnt...

    Yes the 20gb is easily upgradable, and with the "lag" times associated with playing games online wirelessly, the 20gb is a much better buy of course IMHO.

    The 20gb is online ready, you just need to hook it up wth the network cable from your modem , which is the better way...right now anyway.
