my rock anenome is .... smoking? My open brain also billowed out a puff of ... err stuff?? and a couple ricordia closed and also spewed brown substance?


Any Ideas? I just done a water change (35g over past 12 hours).

Sounds to me like they emptied their guts. Mine do that from time to time if I add a stressor, like a water change. It's more like going to the bathroom then anything else.

Sounds like my cats! They stand right beside me when I change the litter so they can dirty it up as soon as I finish. <_<

Sounds like you are experiencing a release of gametes (spelling?). This is the way corals, etc reproduce. If tank parameters are just right, they will release these gametes/eggs in order to reproduce. Some corals will kick off the release of gametes from other corals. I dont know if this is what you are experiencing, but it could be.... Some look like smoke, some like tiny eggs, it just depends....
