Look, if you are trying to get something out of all of this ($$$$), chances are you are being frivolous about it, and the attack-dog attorneys love that type of client...people who feel they deserve something for nothing. If you are legit, you prolly don't want to sue the old lady who scratched your bumper for $50 billion. Likely, you just want things to be back to the way they were.
There's nothing wrong with making an insurance company pony up (only what is proper to resolve the issue, and in rare cases, punitive damages). That is why you pay them money, and why everyone else is supposed to, also; to put things back the way they were before...That's Allstate's stand. Are you in good hands?... :unsure Sorry.
