wheee.... fried CPU!
last night, I was following through on my christmas wish to get my brother - in - law setup w/ a computer (he lost his old one in a nasty breakup)
so, being the loving, caring, wonderful guy that I am, and computers being expensive, I decided to upgrade mine, and use my old parts to cobble him one together.
I got his up and running nice, and as I was putting my gorgeous 150 GB WD RAPTOR X into my case, I accidentally grounded out the mb. yes, I am stupid, you should always unplug the computer when your working on it...
alas... while the show, however was brief ( like bio-luminescent pulses all over the board), and pretty, it resulted in a toasty cpu, video card, and memory.
Guess where all my christmas gift cash is going! (heres a hint, not on those nano-streams I was just gettnig ready to order. :( )
oh well.. unreal 2007 and supreme commander are gong to look very sexy on the core duo system I am building to replace this one.
