Pulling up to see a wrecker turning back over the truck that your pregnant wife was driving has got to be a sick feeling. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Yeah, I guess hitting it would be the right thing to do, but my first instinct would be to avoid it. Of course, this is coming from a woman that slows down for butterflies crossing the road (as long as it is safe for me to do so). :lol

Thank goodness I have never actually hit an animal (or seen one get hit). It's hard to celebrate the sixth anniversary of your 29th birthday and be able to say that! :o

I learned the same thing in drives ed. If you have to react fast it is probably to late to safely avoid and just go ahead and hit it. That wreckage looks scary.

Glad to hear her and baby are doing fine and she wasn't hurt too badly. That is right by my house and there was another wreck there just a couple of days ago but didn't look near as bad.

My wife did the same thing several years ago with a dear and decided to hit a tree instead. She was fine also and for insurance purposes the animal hit is a comprehensive claim, the tree (inanimate object) is a colision claim. Big difference in your premiums down the road, although most insurance companies find a way to nail you either way in the long run.

Wonderful to see your wife and baby are ok after such a terrible wreck. Thanks for posting the pictures. I've been telling the fiancee for the past 2 years not to swerve for animals in the road, the pics helped reinforce my message.
