What is the best light to use to grow out Chaeto algae in a loose ball? Currently, there is a flourescent fixture with an unknown bulb, and a small T-5 with an unknown bulb. Thoughts?

Home depot/Lowes sells a 60w and a 100w compact flourescent that uses a standard socket, both are 5500k. They use between 15-20 watts power. I use 100w and it works fine... About 7 bucks. They are the coil type flourescent as well.
