    Default aquacontroller programs

Anyone else here using an Aquacontroller? I just got the AC Jr. and so far I really like it. I was wondering what other people's programs look like. Also I'm particularly interested to see if anyone else in our area is using the seasonal tables. It seems really cool but they will need adjustment I think due to our usually warm Central Texas average temperatures.

I have one. No, I don't really like it. It's buggy. When the power goes off, it saves the settings, but the clock resets. I have never been able to get their software (computer) to work, and I gave up. Programs that, for instance, turn on fans when the temp gets to 79 degrees, work sometimes, sometimes not. Every once in a while I notice that a light is supposed to be on, but isn't. Then it works fine. Just kind of flaky. I wouldn't use it to control anything that is CRITICAL. Like water temp.

I have been using an AC3 for about two months and i have to say that i really like it...unlike bstreep i have not had any problems with mine and it works perfect once you get the programing just right....The unit itself could use some changes as the programing is not very user friendly and it should have some one touch functions like the feed cycle which currently you have navigate through the menu to get to. other than these minor flaws i would say its a good unit to have...and dozer it would seem that to use the seasonal program you would have to have a good chiller and heater as these are precise temps that the controller is trying to achieve. But as far as temp control this thing rocks as since installations i have not had to mess with my tank temp which i was doing on a daily basis before....now it maintains between 82-78 but has been ranging around 81 which is my desired temp. Btw...i am running a glass heater and fans for cooling...its great not to hear those fans run all day like they were when they were on a timer....

Thanks for the responses guys! So far I have to say I like my aquacontroller Jr. but it's only been a week or so. I am already wishing I had gotten more than one DC8 (8 plug controlled outlet strip) especially since one of the plugs will be taken up with an alarm. It's amazing how quickly 7 plugs go lol.

As far as the seasonal tables I'm still researching. I think I'm going to end up editing them (which you can do with aquanotes- even the lite version) and then using them. I like the idea of the temps and sunrise and sunsets being slightly different depending on time of year. I don't know that it's really important or it's just because I think it's cool and want to use it lol. Plus since the seasonal tables came with it I would like to at least try them out...
