    Default More Mandarin Fun

My dragonet has found itself stuck to the intake of each of my powerheads. We just got back in town after a couple of days and I fear he may have been stuck for awhile.

I am just not sure why he is now getting stuck. He 'should' have plenty to snack on...100 lbs of LR in the display and a HOB refugium with chaeto that is crawling with bugs.

I am guessing he is weak but I cannot figure out why. Ideas?

OK...I figured this out. He's starving. Wow, I thought this guy had plenty to eat but apparently not. 55 gallon tank with about 100 lbs of LR. Only a HOB refugium with chaeto and LS. The HOB is absolutely crawling with bugs but somehow not enough are making it into the display.

Here is what I have done. I took clumps of chaeto out of the fuge and put it in the display. Ugly but hopefully that will recharge the display LR. I also bought about 3 lbs of rubble and placed it into the chamber that empties into the tank. My hope is that more pods beed/live there and get sucked into the display.

Now, I know it may be too late because he is so skinny. Would it be wise to stick him in the fuge? It is only 2.5 gallons. There's certainly pods there. Thoughts?

the fuge might not be a bad idea as he won't have to fight the PH and he can relax and eat.
