    Default frag exchange

    ok basic idea is this:

find a shop owner willing to loan space to MAAST.. for 2 or 3 tanks that the shop owner will maintain..
the individual brings his frags in and sets his own price
when frag sells, owner gets store credit for 60% of purchase price and store keeps other 40%
exchange will be limited to charter members of maast and there will be a 5$ monthly fee paid to store owner from each member of exchange
an agreement will be signed between store owner and member stating terms of exchange membership and store will assume no responisiblity for losses.
members profit from cheaper prices and store profits from reduced risk and membership

i know there are flaws in my thinking because i'm no genius. so lets hear some draw back and some possible solutions to make this happen, and maybe some input from some store owners as to their perspective

I,ll speak on it.Its a cool idea except depending on which lfs.I dont really frequent many of them.Im not familiar with any stores husbandry of tanks and params kept.If they are too diffrent from any individuals tank frags stand more of a chance of not doing very well.Im assuming they would be kept in check cuz they stay in business, but like I said i dont really frequent any stores.Plus am I understanding that only MAAST members can buy from these frags?

"exchange will be limited to charter members of maast"
this would kill the deal for most business owners. Could you really see a business owner turning down a sale because the potential customer was not a member of a certain club? Then, can you imagine the store owner telling this customer "you'll first have to pay to be a maast charter member, then you will have to give me $5, and then you can shop from these tanks"

As for care of the tanks, there are only 2 places in town that I would have any confidence in doing a decent job. Can you guess which ones?

Frag swaps are great but watch out for pest such as Acro Eating Flat Worms and red bugs.

I like the idea of it, but there are too many factors that would make it too difficult IMO
