    Default a few questions

I've been up a running for a little more than 3 months, and I have a few questions.....

Tank is an aquapod 12 gallon runs at about 80 degrees
    ph 8.0
    nitrate / nitrites 0
    sg 1.024
    I use Oceanic salt
and puried water from HEB (RODI)

    1. I have green ball algae, how do I get rid of it? I don't have any fish, I do weekly 1 gallon water changes, and my nitrates and nitrites are 0. I run chaeto in the in tank fuge. I'm thinking that I need a phosphate absorber (SeaGel) or something along those lines. I also have some red hair algae...thinking it's the same issue.

    2. My ph stays at around 8.0, should I be dosing to get it to 8.3? If so, what should I use. I'm a little worried about dosing such a small tank, I need some advice on this one.

    3. My GSP has been doing great for 2 months. for the last 4 days, it won't 'come out' Any ideas?

the algae may just be the last part of your tank cycling. when i moved my livestock from one tank to another, it took almost 6 months for all of the algae to subside.

i think you can use baking soda, but i would (like you already said) be very carefull with dosing a tank that size. there are some other buffer product you can use to raise alkalinity which usually stabalizes the pH and brings it back up where you want it.
