Default AAAHHH My Duster's Head Fell Off!!!

I came down to get some water and began spying on the tank with my red light when i noticed my feather dusters feathers were on the sand!!! What happened? Is this normal? Is it still alive and just sheds that? Yikes help...first my fish going crazy eating bubbles...now this!

i have heard of them doing that and then growing a new "head," so hopefully that is what happened.

I've had my foxface and a few other fish eat bubbles and fan's drop crowns all within a week as well?!?! I had recently changed my dosing and chalked it up to that. No worries though, fish are fine and my fans have shiny new crowns now.
