Thread: Too much flow?

I moved my maxi jet to the side next to my over flow box with the out put turned towards the front glass. The flow is bouncing of the front glass and then on to the rocks. Is this a bad idea? will this just take all my flow away?

Along these same lines, I have a 150g tank with a tunze 6060 with 2 maxijet. I was thinking about adding a seio 1100 or 1500 for more flow. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

how much flow would you recomend for a 75 reef? i have 2 1200 mj, two 600s mj, a 400 hidden in the rocks and the return which is a Mag 7 but im going to up grade to a 12 with two pvc pipes in kind of a V shape. i dont like how all the pumps look in the tank, maybe when i upgrade i can loose the two 600 or hide them in the rocks as well. What do you guys think?

Yeah upgrading to the mag 12 will help out alot, you could get rid of the MJ 600s.
