Default coraline dying, need quick advice

the coraline on the tank walls is turning white. i know this is to be expected, but my q is, can i scrape it off and let the filter take care of it, or do i need to drain the tank and scrape it off?

the tank was running for 8+ months, but when i moved it, the coraline was exposed to air for about 2 hours while i moved everything. there is nothing in the tank but a few snails, rock and sand.

i want to be able to view the tank from the 3 sides taht are visible. scraping the dead coraline off wont hurt whats in there, and i dont have to drain the tank... this is what youre saying, correct?

No need to drain the tank if you're going to scrape corraline from the tank walls. It's an easier task with one of those handled-scrapers. You won't get pruney hands/arms!

If the dead white coralline doesn't bother ya, you can always leave it (and save yourself some trouble and elbow grease) and eventually, the live corraline will grow and cover the dead stuff up.

It will color back up if you just leave it alone.
