Migrating files from one PC to another

OK computer Gurus, what is the best software/method for moving one pc's programs and files to another (newer) machine?

I have read about Laplink's PCMover, but it gets some bad reviews.

Also saw one called Move Me.

Any experience with either of these? Is there a better software/way?

yes

i do this all the time

your phone should have a regular email address specific to your carrier

example: 210xxxxxxx@vzwtext.com

to send from phone to computer just use your regular email address in the to field on the text message

oh well i dont have a phone connected out here so i cant really make calls. thats kinda why i was asking about the text message from the pc. thanks, i will try the e-mail you gave me.
