Saltwater film/slime?

I mixed up 50gal of saltwater (coralife) using RO/DI water. I let it sit for 2 days. Today when I opened the lid I noticed a white film/slime on the bottom and sides of the trash can. What could of caused it and is it safe to use?

you didnt have any power heads in the trash can to keep the water and salt mixing?

i did for the first day and a half. my son unpluged the powerhead.

Should be fine, just precipitated out some calcium. Rub the film off the sides and plug in the powerhead. If there is no sulpher smell, maybe check the PH - should be fine.
