Default Hello newbie with nano skimmer Q's

Hi, been lurking for awhile. Reading all the good info on here. I just got a new Oceanic 29 biocube. Was kind of waiting to see if the nano forum was going to get up and running but....
Anyway my question is, I want to make a reef tank and there is no where to put a skimmer. I bought the little fission nano skimmer and it wouldn't fit in the back anyway I tried. I don't know what to do. I am under the impression that I do need a skimmer. Is this correct?

unless you are goin to run a deep sand bed, good fuge, and very light bio load, a skimmer is a good idea,, also depends on what you want to keep,, sps --yes need a skimmer.. softies can take a higher trate count and you might be able to slide,
