DLP, by far the best! Lots of projectors in that price range. Look at Infocus.

Have you gone to bjorns on 281? You can go and listen to dozens of different speakers before you decide on the right one for you. Bring some music to play and they will gladly help you out. Also try to listen to some movies. Just go during the day so you avoid the crowds.

I believe it runs under $1000.

Just to let you know, I am NOT a fan of the Epson projectors. Here at work, when we were looking for new projectors, another dept brought there Epson's. Well, our "OLD" LCD Sharps looked better than those Epson's. The projecotrs that I am currently using are from Sharp, and they are NOT cheap! I also have one of the newer infocus, great little projector. The club just bought a used one of the same model. Infocus has a Ebay Store http://stores.ebay.com/The-InFocus-S...Q3amesstQQtZkm
And they have a good warranty also.

Thanks for the info. I myself am not in the market for a projector. I would like to have one it would be nice to have movie night outside.
