be careful with your hawkfish for some reason I have had 2 and both jumped... guess he didn't like what was on tv or something.

I meant to tell you on your last pic thread that you should check your calcium/alk levels. The sealab blocks your using work pretty well but are supposed to be completely protected from any current or they can dissolve to fast and raise your calcium way to high. The manufacturer recommends burying them in the sand so they will dissolve at about the righ rate to keep your calcium around 450.
Also the calcium source in the blocks is calcium chloride. So you should do some fairly substantial water changes once in a while to keep things from getting out of whack. Check with GaryP, I think he uses alot of calcium chloride and probably has a pretty good water change schedule.
thanks for the info will go and bury the new tablet. right now we are doing about a 5 gallon water change every 2 weeks.
