That's a toughie. I've had some long discussion about it since Larry had his outbreak. He basically went in and pull out as much as he could and then loaded his tank with a couple hundred hermits and they ate the base of it and killed it. Felipe put a bunch of lettuce nudis in his hex tank and they slowly got it under control. Of course, good phosphate control is a key just like with any algae.
Bryopsis is toxic to snails and they will die from eating it.
