    Default New fossil

I received a gift from my Dad today. A new fossil to add to my collection. It's a fossil of coral that was found in Cameroon by one of my Dads associates. It was then given to my Dad as a gift and now passed on to me. He gives me his fossils when he need to make room for new ones ^_^ . It dates back to the Carboniferous age, about 300 million yo. The dark color is from the oil deposit found in the area. Their not the best pic in the world but it's raining and I'm board.

I recognize some of those fish. They are from my first aquarium.

The large fish looks like a coelecanth, or something like it. It made a big splash many years ago when it was discovered alive off the coast of S. Africa. They called it a "living fossil."
