Default spots on powder blue tang

I had a little spike in ammoina the other day. Didnt have salt so, I had to wait to do a water change. Well I finally got salt water and did a water change. Well then after the water change I check the water. and everything back to normal. But my tang has little white spots all over his body and fins.

    Some one please help!!!! :(

Well, that sounds about right with a Powder. I'm dreading adding anything else to my big tank... Feed him regularly (5 times or more a day), he/she should get over it.

Well, it's likely ich. But, with some luck and good nutrition, he/she should get over it. Oh, good water quality helps too. BTW, I've always found it a good practice to keep plenty of salt around.

A lesson well learned. I have heard that we should quarantine the tang. But at this time this is not feasible for us. Looking at this fish now, he even has spots on his fins..... Our other fish are not affected at this point.

I've learned to let nature take its' course...you'll just stress the fish out more trying to catch & relocate him...and the garlic really does help.

What's a good way to spot ich? My blue tang has little spots around his face that look kind of like freckles.

Those are normal Euclid - as Regal Tangs mature...they get these spots/tiny holes on their face that look like freckles...ich are tiny little white spots that are attached to the body/fins of the fish. Look kinda fuzzy but tiny. They irritate the fish and you can normally see them twitch or rub off on LR. Usually due to stressful conditions...
