    Default Pet Land

I got back into town today, and was making some rounds to LFS when I decided to stop and check out Pet Land. That was a mistake. First off they have a very limited selection. The corals they had were extremly high priced. I think the cheapest coral was 59.95 and it was a half dead maze. The coral tanks were full of aptasia. I talked to one of the employes about the aptasia and he said that he had a little in there. I replied with "You have a lot in there" and he commenced to cuss me out for saying stuff in front of the two kids running around. I informed him that those kids were mine and he said he didn't care and continued to chew me out for it. Now, I cuss in front of my kids all the time, and they know that they are too young to repeat what I say. So who is he to tell me what I can say in front of my kids.

All in all, Pet Land is a horrible fish store. They have little in line of selection of both corals and fish. And the employees there are rude and annoying. Stay clear of this fish store. That is my advise.

No comment except that you should specify which petland. There are 2 of them and they are owned by different people.

I can only agree in the high priced corals, down here 1 poylp of a zoo or 1 shroom is 59.99! and fish down here they are pretty okay, but i've noticed 3 of their tanks full of bubble algea and i told the guy that they should get rid of it, and they guy told me all i do is POP it every day. and i spoke to don and told him to get emerald crabs, he blew me off and said popping them is the only way to get rid of them
    29G Mixed tank, 380w of light (250w 14k Ushio, 2x65w PC Actinic), Octopus NW110, 75x turnover.

Finally after years I have a tank worth showing!

For a store that isn't saltwater geared they have enough tanks for marine fish and a unique reef tank.
