    Default zoos going crazy

    what do I do?My zoanthids are growing like crazy to the point where they are starting to cover some sps.Its out of control, I also have crazy sponge growth that white kind that looks like tubes.I dont know does it have something to do with water quality?

    Frag them and sell them. :P Heck my wife loves Zoos .....so I will buy some frags. :lol

    Yup, thats pretty much all you can do. Make sure to peel them off completely off the rock and make sure to wear gloves when handling them.

    Zoos are slightly toxic. Palythoas are even more toxic. Like Jerry said, wear gloves and maybe even a mask and safety glasses. You can get a dust mask and safety glasses at Home Depot or Lowes. Make sure to wash up any exposed skin that may have been sprayed by the zoos after you are through.

    I have some zoos that have grown over to other rocks. Is it o.k. to cut the covered rocks away from the other rock? Are latex gloves good to use or would I need those long arm length gloves?

    Latex and nitrile gloves are fine. You should be able to get either at Home Depot. I like to use a pair of tweezers or forceps to peal the zoos off of the rock.

    when they grow onto an adjacent rock, i just rip the two apart. no harm done.
