Now that these are out, there is no real reason to knock T-5 actinics anymore.
The bulbs are EXACTLY like the VHO's, I have them, and I have the proof!!!
My corals are florescing like crazy...keep in mind I have a VERY basic digital camera.

Now with this combo of bulbs I think I have a good balance of lighting for color and growth.
here is the lineup:
UV Super Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue Special (12000 K )
GE Daylight ( 6500 K )
ATI Aquablue Special (12000 K )
ATI Aquablue Special (12000 K )
ATI Blue Plus
UV Super Actinic
Since I have an 8ft tank I had to duplicate this on the other side...so I have a total of sixteen T-5's

Nice! I have a t5 setup and I plan on adding 2 more bulbs for a total of 6. Right now I have 1 sun, 1 aquablue and 2 actinic/blue plus. Any ideas on how I should add the super actinics with a 6 bulb configuration. I like the tank to have a white/blue look to it.

Thats a tough call. I like all of the bulbs that I have.Originally Posted by jc
I have an idea...since I just changed out all of my bulbs and I plan to keep some of them for back ups, you can come by get some of the old ones to try different combinations.
let me know
What I want to do is swap out my actinics for those super actinics. Would I be replacing the actinic/blue plus bulbs? Which did you replace? Also thanks for the offer.
