That's one of them. I really didn't enjoy having to walk out there to setup my target while having a bunch of people behind me. The other thing is that when I went there was no barier in between shooters so I had to try and avoid the neighbors casings from landing on me. One thing I will give them props is that there rangemaster helped me get my grouping nice and tight.

I feel you on both counts. I stood all the way to the left of the range. The two guys to my right were both firing Glocks that ejected rightwards, I guess I was lucky.

I mentioned their hospitality earlier. This is the main reason that I would choose to return. All employees are friendly, especially the range master. He took some time to explain the basics to me and taught me how to hold and fire the gun properly.

Chris, I went to the gun show today...and let me tell you. If you are planing on getting a Glock, PLEASE PLEASE shoot and XD45acp. I had shot the XD40 and while I thought it shot well, I still preferred my Beretta 9mm over it. Call me wierd, but I can throw ANYTHING at that Beretta and it's held up fantasticly. I couldn't have asked for a more trouble free gun! Now today after talking with a bunch of gun nuts it seemed the new XD45ACP was a gun to look at. Well the problem was I couldn't find ANYONE with them in stock. Everyone I talked to gave me VERY good reviews on it, and said a lot of the competiion guys are using them. I just happened to find the ONE guy at the show that had ONE left. I bought it after haggling a bit. I took it straight to the range and all I can say is WOW. This gun in 45cal has just about as much recoil as my 9mm, and to top it off, it was probably more accurate. The frame is lightweight and I will use it as a carry gun until I can get a Kahr P45 or a Kahr P40. WHen you look at price at $460ish it comes with a 2 13 round stainless clips, lock, Kydex holster, reloader and mag clip. The glock came with nothing but some mags. I'd say see if you can try it out before buying. I like mine WAY better then any of my stepdads 5 glocks.

Sorry Bug Power for the delayed response.

I do plan on trying a few other handguns, I have had a couple of offers to go shooting. I don't know if I will be able to specifically shoot the XD you talk about, but you never know. It seems to be a common idea that I should shoot nore than one gun and I certainly plan on doing so!

    Thanks for the advice.

there are some places that let you RENT guns while you are there to test them. (i think) might be something to think about if one of the ranges lets you rent guns so you can find your specific one you like.

and jose what online place do you go to when you purchase guns.
