    Default Cozumel Reefs Regenerating

Had contact with our Divemaster in Cozumel in the last few days. He says the reefs are doing very well in regenerating themselves after the hurricanes last year. The Reef Club is now back open & improved even. Whoooohoooo - we're scheduled to go diving in July....prob just in time for another hurricane! :o Good to hear things are getting back to normal on this beautiful island...Planacar Reefs are beautiful...

WOW, that's great news Sherri, just hope they don't get hit again this year.

I was there in January and I'll be back there in a couple of weeks, whoopee!

Many of the shallower, more northern reefs got hit pretty bad. From Palancar south it's in great shape. Colombia deep looked better than I had ever seen it. OTOH, tormentos, cedral, paradise all got blasted. It's still a great place to dive and it's very interesting to see the rebirth; tiny gorgonians, budding sponges, and amazing amounts of tiny fish.
