Thread: Lord vs. Acro

    Default Lord vs. Acro

I had a lord frag that fell onto a 3 or 4 inch acro colony in my tank last night. I thought for sure the lord would demolish the acro but it was quite the opposite. The acro actually stung and killed a full head of the lords! I thought it was supposed to be the exact opposite 8)

they are pretty potent. i had a small acro fall on a favite brain, no damage to the acro, but the sting proved fatal for the entire brain over the next 2 days, and it was about 10" X 7" :(

Mine had the same slime onto the acropora but when I seperated the two, the acropora recovered and the lord polyp died immediately. Very very weird.

I have found millepora and acropora to kill almost anything they come into contact with, except really aggressive LPS and hydnophora. Milli fell on a montipora for about 30 seconds and the monti was dead the next day. Tough being a coral.

Man, usually when I notice two corals touching I move them right away, maybe next time Ill let them battle it out to see who wins :lol
