I'm afraid the drought may not have helped them. No flowering plants, no food, less hummers. I'd be willing to bet the survivors are going to be all over yards that have feeders. Folks need to keep that in mind. If you are going to put out feeders, they need to be kept filled. The hummers are going to depend on the food you put out. If you stop feeding they will starve. Hummers have extrememly high energy output and need to eat their own weight in food everyday. Going without food for just a couple of days is enough for them to starve.
