    Default fishing rod ?

Ok..I need to know what kind of fishing rod to get that wont break if I wrestle it back and forth with a 35lb dog. What strength line too?

    Why you ask..lol.?

Ive got one of those cheap cat toy fishing rods but our dog likes to chase it too....its not going to last very much longer and heck if I can drive her crazy and keep a toy just out of reach it'll be a hoot!

Will this even work? umm. and do any of them come with an 'automatic reeler in system' ?...as you can tell Im not much into fishing...thats what happens when you grow up in the desert. :roll

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated..I know this is a strange request.

I think if you go to Academy and pick up a "Zebco" special rod/reel combo it would work just fine. Just go with one of the med/bigger ones. I do not think you are wanting to spend hundreds of dollars on this. LOL.

15-20 lb line would hold up well I do believe.

They do make automatic reelers but I as I recall they are fairly pricey. But I have not looked at such things in years so maybe they make one not so expensive.

actually go to the pawn shop.....it's cheaper....if you look on the side of the rod it says how many pounds it's rated for.

Chgeck out some garage sales too. There is usually some decent used fishing tackle that can be found there.

Just don't catch an English Mastiff or you may be in for a little ride through some fences if the line holds.

LOL. If it was the beagle (FrankiJo) Brian would rush out and buy a gold plate one but since its for 'my dog..the dingo' he wont be happy about spending a whole lot.lol

    See Joshua gets it :lol

I might have to look into an automatic reeler...not sure I can reel faster than she can run :P

Thanks guys! Ill be sure to video tape this...it should be hilarious knowing Dingo. ITll take awhile to get her used to the rod though...she so skittish around things that look like they could hurt her...rugs, the couch, baby gate, basically anything..lmao

Joshua - That is funny! At least 800 yards and be sure to work him as you reel him in. You may also need a waist harness for support.

I look forward to the full length movie "Dingo, Jaws on Dry Land" coming soon......

LOL...this dog has more energy than any dog Ive met in my entire life (and remember I grew up working at an animal shelter..I was in charge of recess). So I really am hoping this will tire her out a bit..lol, When we play tug of war she can literally drag me and pull Brian over! :roll We need help.
