I talked to Ike at Current and they do not bundle the 150 watt MH with the 24g Aquapod yet ... but will be offering it around mid-April. Right now .. to put it together, you have to spend a fortune.

Loius at Aquatic Warehouse ordered a 70watt setup for me , but I changed my mind to go with the 150 watt. The 70watt setup is great, just not going to be enough light IMO for the SPS I want to keep. I will get the 150 from him when it comes out.

So FYI ... anyone who is looking for the 70watt version ... Aquatic Warehouse has one!

I can tell you now that heat is a big problem with running that big of a light over that size tank. I have a 25g with 250 HQI and 2-28w actinics. I have a hood, so that doesn't help, but I had to put 2 4" fans with holes drilled along the back side of the hood for the air to flow over the water surface. With my apartment at 75, I couldn't keep the temp under 84 after about 4 or 5 hours of the halide on.

I had a 70w halide over a 10g and it grew stuff great. Also, I have a friend here that is growing a stag and a cap under the normal lights that come with the 12g aquapod. The 70w would be plenty and they are now coming out with more 70w bulbs in different colors since people are using them more and more often with nano tanks.

SATX .... Louis had it priced @ $300 for me. I was in today and it was sold ... did you buy it???

Jeremy .... I was on the fence as to whether 70w was enough or not, and after all the reading I did, there is an overwhelming concensus that 70w over this 24g setup was marginal and 150w would be more optimal. I agree with you fan comment ... the Sunpod fixture has them built in!!!
