Default Dreaded Ich, need some recommendations for a coral beauty

So everything was fine and I wanted to add one last fish, a royal gramma. I QT'd him for about 2 weeks and then put him in. Big mistake, as my lack of patience has cost me. The first night in the main tank the gramma ended up in the overflow. Later that day the ich appeared. I got him out immediately, but now my coral beauty has the telltale white dots. Provided I can catch the coral beauty how should I treat him. I've been using formalin on the gramma, but understand that dwarf angels are sensitive to formalin and copper. I can't put the coral beauty in the QT w/ the royal gramma b/c of the formalin, so I'm thinking he'll have to go in a bucket? Has anyone successfully treated a dwarf angel for ich? Also, should I just pull my pair of clown out the tank now, or wait until they get ich? Is there anyway they might not?

in my experience (here we go again) a cleaner shrimp and multiple small meals each day along with great water quality can give fish a chance to fight off the ich with their immune system. we just had this discussion in this thread, so you may want to read it to get some more info.

My purple tang had ich, I soaked his food in garlic, kept the water clean, and the ich was gone after two days. I fed him small amounts 3 times a day. Hope this helps, good luck

Well the white spots have disappeared, but from what I understand the ich isn't hasn't really gone just moved onto the next stage in the life cycle. He's still eating plenty and the water quality is good, so I guess I'll give it a little more time. I have the feeling that I'll probably have to rip the tank apart and catch all the fish to put them in QT eventually though.

No, just feed him well ( i do believe in the garlic juice too, get it from HEB ), keep water quality high, and wait. Fish do have some natural defenses against the ICH. It may not make it back to the fish and presumably die off. If it does then consider treatment.
