Does anyone know where in S.A. I could take some RO water to get tested? I just got a used ro system from my brother and I have replaced the filters and I am wanting to test the water. Atleast that is what I feel is the right thing to do.![]()

Eddie,
Contact Tim Marvin of 360Reef and get a TDS meter. They are very inexpensive and worth every cent. You should check your RO water periodically and trying to find someone to test your water on a regular basis will be a PITA. I think Tim may even have some left over from the last RO Group Buy.
135 gallon reef and 29 gallon mini-reef.
You are right about being a pain to have someone test it every time but if I can verify that my tds is working properly then why would I want to buy another one. Pete, I might contact you next week if you don't mind.
Filters don't last forever. Any RO unit needs to be tested periodically to know if its ready to be changed or if the RO membrane is ruptured. That's what happens when the carbon filter is exhausted. The chlorine destroys the RO membrane.Originally Posted by eddie

Eddie, you are posting a year later. It might be a little difficult to contact Pete now.
