Hi ^.^v
Since I'm "new" I thought I would properly introduce myself. My name is Grace (hence the oh so "flashy" user name) and I have been actually browsing the boards for a while on my boyfriends account (Jlam) when I finally decided to make an appearance.
Jason (Jlam) got me into reef keeping when he set up his 100gal aquarium. He strolled into a Aquarium shop one day, and jokingly said I should get a job there so I could get discounted corals and fish. Well, I did and learned most of what I know from my experience there. (I don't work anymore, I'm a full time "professional" student :lol ). I set up 2 little 10gal freshwater tanks to get my own feet wet and then after my work experience and knowledge from the 100gal tank, am ready for my own saltwater aquarium. I've been doing or "helping" (I can't really put everything and do everything I would want in the 100gal aquarium as it's "Jason's") in the reef industry for around 2 years, so to many of you I am still a newby as what comes after knowledge is age in the hobby.
Off subject things about me: I'm 23 and studying to be an English Major at ACC currently, then to transfer to a 4year school (Texas State, most likely). During my schooling I will also be working to get my teaching certificate to teach Highschool English.
I have 2 cats, lots of fish, 2 gerbils. The only reason why I don't have more is a small house and Jason to say "no."
We live in Round Rock and have been to one MAAST meeting (unfortunately Jason works nights, so when a meeting happens he normally can't make it as he is sleeping.)
I will be at the frag swap on Saturday at Austin Aquariums and I hope to see some of you there! ^_^
