well ive noticed that in the last few days my yellow tailed damsel has been hanging around in the upper right hand corner of the tank. i dont know if he just needs some space, or if hes scared. is this a sign of anything, do i need to be watching out for other signs?

well the damsel is still up in the corner and now he looks pretty unhealthy. hes a dark dark blue and hes not as fast as he use to be. oh and hes tail looks pretty messed up. i guess the other fish has been picking on him. is there anything i can do or should i just let nature take its course?

Place him in a QT and try and nurse him back to health.

If you have a big enough fuge you can try putting all your damsels in the fuge for a few days then move them all back to the main tank (also rearrange your main tank) and they will reestablish territories and maybe stop picking on the new guy. I just recently had to do that because my clownfish were beating up my new tang, I put the clownfish in jail (fuge) for a few days then moved them back, and now all the fish get along nicely.
