No Texans pronounce it right. Everyone else has it wrong. Just like San Jacinto. In Texas, we pronounce the J. But in spanish....
We talk normal, everyone else sounds funny when they talk.
You can add Refugio and Gruene to #1.

I think it is hilarious that we are one of the only states that is so proud of our history that we require everyone to learn about it, especially non-residents. And on top of that, we are the only states that have "Edition" trucks. You won't find LA or MS edition trucks running around. We are proud to be texas to say the least.
I can't believe you said that without giving the proper honor of a capital T in Texas. ;)We are proud to be texas to say the least.
Speaking of capitals, ours is taller than the one in Washington, D.C.
I have been to most states in the United States (including Hawaii and Alaska) with the exception of a few but from what I have seen Texas is all around the best state to call home. Alaska was the most beautiful but cost of living and the cold were too much. Arizona was the next most beautiful but it just didn't feel like a home. Hawaii of course was almost perfect but their laws made things terrible (unless you are natural Hawaiian you can't own land). East coast = racism. California was beautiful but expensive and I don't think the price was worth what you got in return. Texas is beautiful, not crowded, low cost of living, ect ect.Originally Posted by Isis
