Considering the short time left they may be willing to just let you out, if not it's not that far of a commute for couple of months to save money or your credit (unlikely).

Yeah, I'd stick it out for that short a time period. As mentioned above, see if they have a sister property in the area you want and maybe you can move there without paying a new deposit as long as you are in good standing with the management company now. I broke a lease early a few times. Once due to extreme hardship and the other due to getting married. After explaining the situation to management, they were ok and waived the huge early termination fees.

That was the reason I broke my lease...marriage. I needed more space and for my wife to move in with me even if I stayed in the same unit, they required for her to apply and they wanted a second deposit. Jerks.
sorry to hear that jap1 that is just bad management. the best advise is to ask if you could break the lease and if the management says no then just wait it out untill the lease is over, dont **** of the apt manager because they can cause you all kinds of grief if they wanted to.
Also remember that if you bail out on your lease and continue paying it, if they re-lease your apartment, you are entitled to a refund for those months. So, if there's a waiting list for your complex, you might do just fine.
My daughter had a place in Lubbock last year, and the landlord said they didn't "properly" give notice. So she said "fine, I'll stay another month". They ended up paying to move her out, 'cause they'd already had it rented!

okay cool, i guess i will just go down there and talk to them and if they have a problem then like yall said, it is only a couple more months. thanks for all the help
That is true. You are so close to the end of your lease, it'd be just best to wait it out and leave on good terms.
you should wait man.
the only reason i got out of my lease was because management refused to fix stuff that was broken in my apt. i wrote many a letter, called many times, ect ect.
i had to document everything i did because im going to have to go to court more than likely to ensure this doesnt get put on my credit (my apt complex said that i would probably owe a pro-rated ammount, but never mentioned putting it on my credit. be prepared for this).
anywho, youre close to the end of your lease, id just ride it out then move. i know yuor chick got a job, but its not worth it this close to the end of your lease...
