the only reason i got out of my lease was because management refused to fix stuff that was broken in my apt. i wrote many a letter, called many times, ect ect.

i had to document everything i did because im going to have to go to court more than likely to ensure this doesnt get put on my credit (my apt complex said that i would probably owe a pro-rated ammount, but never mentioned putting it on my credit. be prepared for this).

anywho, youre close to the end of your lease, id just ride it out then move. i know yuor chick got a job, but its not worth it this close to the end of your lease...
