I have this EXACT one and it ROCKS!!!!!! LOVE the thang and wouldn't live without it. Easy to hook up, easy to change things and maintain, etc, etc......
Got my ice maker and frig water on it, then run the DI to the tank and all is great!
Thing kicks out some water too!
I got the same one and hooked it up to the garden hose outside. So far it has worked great!Originally Posted by bigdscobra
I've had the filterdirect unit for about ten months now, and it works fine. I also use the handheld meter. The only issue I have with this unit is that the DI is mounted horizontally, and the resin expires on the top half, not the bottom (color changing). The water kind of "channels" through the housing. I usually just "spoon" out the color changed resin, and refill the rest. This seems to get me the best results as far as getting all I can out of the resin.
Just rotate the cartridge occasionally.Originally Posted by dpantle

OK I have some questions abut this guy.
Does the waste water valve stay fully open? I hear a lot of water going through there and I don't think I am getting much water in my holding tank. I am getting some water through the Ro faucet but not much. When I close off the waste water valve I get more water pressure out of the spigot (the one I would use for the fish water).

I just installed mine and you are supposed to leave the valve that attaches to the waste water closed. It is only supposed to be open when you want to flush the system. Leave it in the closed position and you will get more pressure out of the holding tank when you want RO or DI water.
