    Default 400 Watt Elect Ballast

I just purchased a 400 W Reef Fanatic Electronic Ballast (New) from Premium Aquatics $50.00. I plan on using it as my afternoon light (just a few hours a day). I currently have 2- 175Watt MH with 10K XM's and 2- fluorescent actinics. I want decent growth but looks (coral color, crisp white light) seem more important right now. Any suggestion on bulbs would be great help. Personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting more blue, or more white? I was confused by your question.
I used the 10K AB (actually 13K) before with my 400 watt elect. when I had them and loved them. Used the 20K XM and Radiums also but wanted more white.

I found this thread awhile ago that might help you figure out which bulb to get. It has pictures of a tank using a lot of different bulbs. It has all their par and stuff too. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=254667

I guess I'm trying to find a spot in the middle. I dont want a yellow light, but I want good growth. Thanks for the link, I'll just have to look at the pics and decide.
