I bought a Platax pinnatus from fishy buisness and that thing, along with every other fish/ coral i bought there is doing great.
the Platax pinnatus are said to be bad shippers but you know, i would rather it come straight from bali or where ever. it just seems that when you look at a fish you should be able to tell if it is all stressed out ie. clamped fins, rapid gill movement , color..... all of jasons fish that i have seen are quite healthy. I feel that jason tries to give the hobbyist the best deal, this should not be an area targeted for anything negitive.
with me being a military guy, i always look for the best price, i know you all do it. you would normaly jump at the chance to go "factory direct", or straight from the source, well, here it is the source being bali. why stop over at yet one more place to create more stress on a small fish that has been snatched away from its habitat and placed in a bag/ box and subjected to many diffrent temps/ chemical contents etc....
i'd rather it go from the collector to my tank whenever possible.
if you ever have air- traveled with pets for long distances you would see the effect on them after the many stops and loading and unloadings they go through, even a well mannored house dog will shake and cower for a bit of time.
anyway.... i think fishy buisness is a great place to shop! keep up the sales jason....
