    Here are some of the parameters he mentioned:

    CA: 410
    alk: 9.8

    He uses Calupera rather than Chaeto for nutrient export in his barebottom tank and keeps the light on 24/7.
    He doses ozone only at night to keep the water clear.
    He uses a kalkreactor to maintain his calcium and his calcium reactor to maintain alk.
    He has hella actinic lighting which he thinks contributes to the SPS vivid colors.

    Oh yeah, and he has funny reflectors that increase light a whole bunch without increasing MH heat.

    everybody needs a bigger tank (esp. if someone has a tunze that could drain it in a blink of an eye should it be pointed out of the tank) :lol

    The tank was at the Honolulu aquarium. They were using salt well water that had 50 ppm nitrates. The resulting corals did not have good color development as a result. The corals were collected by Sprung in Fiji. His point was that the corals had turned brown due to the high nitrates.
