I'm not sure what/why you "can't believe this". I'm a sailor, and Somalia is DEFINATELY an area to avoid. Somalia has the longest coastline in that area, and the recommendation is 150 miles offshore in international waters - the cruise ship was 100 miles offshore. There have been many incidents of "piracy" off the coast of Somalia recently. Only the China Sea is as bad. BTW, what in the world could possibly make these people "pirates". How about "terrorists" instead?
