I'll tell ya what. Ill call abortion and the death penalty the same thing when babies start commiting premeditated slaughter of adults.
You gotta watch those lil boogers, they are out to get us. Ok well maybe they have been known to kill peoples social life.

You can lump the two together on the most basic level. They both end the posibility of continued life. But that is ignoring the issue of possible guilt. It would be just as fair to lump in eating meat. Or even veggies as they meet the criteria of life.

Once again we'll have to agree to diagree. So the State is allowed to commit the premeditated slaughter of adults but individuals are not? I respect life...all life. And do not wish to have one persons sins (the murderer) turn into our societies sins (state sponsored murder). Just my opinion.

Its equally as fascinating to me that men decide who is and who is not acceptable to kill. Yes, the states murder is premeditated. They think, and plan it out years in advance.

History is full of choosing who and what is acceptable to kill.
Generally speaking something that is a threat to you is on that list.
If a criminal is pointing a gun at my family or me I will pull the trigger on the criminal.
A convicted murder has proven that they are willing to kill others and are hence a threat to individuals in society.
So society prevents it from happening again.
Giving someone life in prison without hope of parole seems more cruel to me than ending it.
