    Default clam looking bad

This clam is really starting to look bad... He has always had some dark patches and grayed out spots that look something like a scar or wound along its edges but now they are really spreading

I did a freshwater dip about 5 days ago and he looks worse since. There were no pyramid snails or any other vermin in the dip water after I put him back. I dont think this looks like piched mantel but I could be wrong... what do you think???

What kind of lighting does the tank have and how far away from the lights is the clam?

Check for pinched mantle and/or sliming. If it shows either trait, you need to medicate it with an protazoan killer, not sure which medication it is, but it's out there. Also, just because you dont see pyramid snails doesnt mean they arent there. They are shell-boring snails so they could be inside your clam. Good luck.
