I've broken toes before (as well as arm, wrist, hand, nose and ribs) and this is probably the worse break I have had (except maybe the nose). It was not deformed, just swelled up double. Most of the swelling has gone down and all of the bruising that is left is in the big toe. The top of my foot only took a glancing blow as the big tow took most of the blow. After a week, I still can't put any pressure on the toe without a lot of pain. It is really fun trying to drive a stick shift with a broken foot. Luckly for me it is a Honda and they have a very sweet manual transmission. I worked from home last Friday, off on Monday and am working from home today. So only three days at work this week. Am hoping to be able to put a shoe on by next week. Or else, I may be wearing sandels for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. Unfortunately, the Lake Travis annual cleanup is on September 18th, same day as the meeting, so I will be unable to attend (my first missed meeting since I joined). I will see you all in October.
