OK, let me put in my .02 in here. I have used a similar colorimeter in the past. They are pretty good. Now for the bad news. It doesn't measure meta phosphate any better than the standard test kits. You are still only measuring ortho phosphate. That would be OK for measuring source water, but not for tank water.
